Tarot or the Week of Jan. 6th 2020: The 9 of Coins, Cancer Full Moon Eclipse and a Zone of Ones Own

THE 9 OF COINS

First off, let me provide some context for this reading, on the 10th we having a full moon / lunar eclipse in Cancer followed shortly by the Pluto / Saturn conjunction. If you don’t speak nerd thats alright, let me translate, there is some big transformational shit going down. This week I’m going to try and stay focused on the full moon eclipse because the effects Pluto and Saturn will be around for an uncomfortably long time. With this eclipse we have the moon in Cancer being opposed by pluto, saturn, the sun and mercury all in Capricorn. With this eclipse in Cancer there is an opportunity for a new way. There is a door, a portal, an escape hatch opening that can lead us away from fear mongering and the threat of WW3 and into a self empowered space based in nurturing, self care and a vulnerability that is made possible by the development and maintenance of healthy boundaries.

Enter the 9 of Coins. This is a card about creating the space that we need to thrive. And in this space we are able to give ourselves the gifts of self care and self love free of the demands and expectations of other people. There is going to be all of this energy out there asking you to just hand your power over, weather out of fear or insecurity, or just plain habit but the 9 of Coins is like no way. They know they have what they need. They know that they are supported by their own actions and are moving towards a better future.

This card asks us to tune out the noise of the world and tune into our own selves. This card asks us to fuck the dumb shit and make haste slowly no matter how big a rush others might be in. You can ask yourself my favorite question of the year “is this mine?” If not, then its not your problem and you can get back to the business of caring for yourself, which is for real, the only business you need to be running right now.

Now is a really good time to step back and remember that our culture is run primarily by stress, perceived scarcity and insecurity. However, it is really important at this time for us to create healthy and beautiful boundaries so that we can be present with ourselves and aware of our resources instead of being drained by fear based systems. It is vital that we trust ourselves and our intuition here, if we keep saying yes when our body is saying no it will drain and derail us. It’s time to unplug from the noise of the external world and check in with yourself so you can get a sense of what’s really going on and what your resources really are. Look around you, what are you working with? Where do you get your power from? Move towards the things that provide strength and comfort and let go of anything that might be siphoning off your mojo. Look and see what you actually have control over and call your power back to you, trust me you’ll need it. It’s going to be a crazy year my friends and it’s just getting started. Till next week, may the force be with you.
